Punch drunk - Round 4

Yesterday's chat with Dr Karmen focused on my state of mind. She reckoned my brain needed to slow down, and prescribed some kind of horse tranquilizers - two before sleep. I managed a page of my book before all the lines blurred into one and I zonked-out for 8 hours of much-needed kip.

Moniek helped me shuffle out to the taxi, into the hospital, and back into my personal bed for Round 4. Small nurse mixed her potions and I slipped into a deep, peaceful sleep. I vividly recollect Dr Karmen shaking my shoulder to wake me up, and asking difficult questions. However, she was wearing a traffic cop's high-visibility neon waistcoat, so I'm not 100% sure if I got all the answers right ... 'errr, sorry, the clutch came out a bit too quick officer" etc etc ... or was it a dream?

After I had been properly resuscitated, a guy called David knocked and came into my room offering counselling and prayers. He's been riddled with incurable cancer for 8 years, and spends his days visiting clinics to fill others with hope. Everyone had warm smiles and kind words about him. We discussed life, the universe and everything for an hour. The flow of conversation was interrupted twice by my unstoppable flow of piss, but he didn't mind a bit.

We haven't met her yet and she's doing a sterling job by the sounds of things. Moo and Noah are asking about you everyday too so know that our whole family is sending you lots of love and lots of positive energy - remember 3/4 of our outfit are equipped with the'Leverton gene'!!!!

  2. Now that's the type of dream I'm not sure you should be having.... a nurse in a traffic cops outfit and you've been caught speeding? On the other hand that could be seen as the prefect dream. I've download your song choice and placed then into Rick's playlist on my iPad. Good choices mate. See you soon. Jason

  3. Collette is off out tonight to take our Dom and his mate to a Tinie Tempah concert. Thank God I'm staying at home with Issy to watch a movie. Thank you Collette, I promise to think about doing the next concert run.

  4. Well at least you didn't insult her like you did with the Nurse that time you went head first into the Texaco sign on your bmx!! Sleep well, stay strong, hugs and love coming to you in buckets from the Woolie clan...my girls wanted to see pictures of you from our old days, so I showed them some but they couldn't stop giggling at my perm until I showed them yours... ;0) xxxx

  5. Ah, Rachel also has some fine photos which need to be shared. I recall the BMX incident, made a right old mess of you.

Can't think why you instantly think of a traffic cop, you barely broke the speed limit (unless sitting on the outside of the car whilst shaking hands over the roof with the passenger - oh what fun!).

Anyway, any update on the number count as the office has started a wager on when you'll get to 3.

  7. For once not a sarcastic comment from me - just good luck today, we are all willing the count down towards that big fat 0.
(why can't I say 'the count' without thinking about the sesame street vampire?)

Oh - and ditto everyone's comments....... Try to get a picture of the wonderful Moniek up here soon, we all want to see her chorio-zapping smile!
Also, you might get more followers if it's not just your face to look at.

  10. Love the playlist Rick. But from someone who goes to every Barry Manilow concert I don't think you'd appreciate my tips!
